We often provide our students with options for homework. These assignments are completed over a few days or a couple weeks. The students are responsible to keep track of which activities they complete, the date, their score. They are also supposed to self-reflect about their performance.
They can keep track of their activities by creating an Online Submission on Moodle and allowing them to re-submit their results.
Examples:
There are two examples of the variety of activities that students can practice for AR verbs or for Geography. Like we mentioned during the presentation, you do NOT need to create all your own resources. There are so many great resources already available online, it just takes some searching. Make sure you have a system of saving (and hopefully sharing) your great finds for following years.
The students are responsible for recording each of the verb practices they complete - the entry should have the date, the activity, and their score. At the end of the journal period, they will have to reflect on their strengths and their weakness based on the activities.
Every time you do a practice activity, record it in this journal. Each entry needs to include the date, the activity, your score/time (if it gave you one),
& most importantly - IF YOU DID THIS ACTIVITY BEFORE, did you improve?
This journal will be equal to a quiz grade.
The activities increase in level of difficulty. You must vary the activities you complete.
